that deep longing inside of you that just won’t go away…
It shows up in the quiet moments.
When you lie awake in bed.
It may show up as an aching in your heart.
As a blurry vision that keeps returning again and again.
A full-bodied pull towards something that feels so deeply you, yet at the same time so out of reach…
Maybe you've tried to make sense of it. To turn it into a plan, to figure out what it all means. But the more you try to pin it down, the more elusive it seems to become, leaving you feeling frustrated and disheartened.
Maybe you've tried to push it away, to focus on what you have, to get on with life. But it keeps returning.
Or maybe you have a sense of what it's calling you towards, yet taking steps in that direction feels somehow soo difficult.
And perhaps the hardest part is not knowing what to do with it. How to really listen. How to trust it. How to tell the difference between a passing desire and something that really matters for the unfolding of your life.
What if your longing isn't something you need to solve?
What if it is an invitation to really turn towards it, listen, and allow its wisdom to reveal the way forward, in its own time and pace?
I know longing intimately…
The sense that something in you is asking to be lived, and the frustration of not quite knowing how to respond to it - I circled around it for many years.
Eventually, I began to admit to myself that I could not think or plan my way towards what I was looking for. The more I tried to figure it all out, the further away it seemed to get. And the more frustrated and disheartened I became.
So I began to approach my longing differently. Instead of trying to solve it through thinking and planning, I allowed it to work me.
I wandered in nature, listened, and opened myself to the mirrors of the more-than-human world. I journalled, drew, followed dreams and images.
I learnt to sit with and befriend the impatient and doubtful voices within me, rather than letting them dictate my next steps.
Slowly, I began to recognise a different kind of guidance. Not a ready-made answer or a perfectly mapped-out path, but a sense of the red thread weaving through my life, gradually revealing itself as I listened more deeply, followed what felt meaningful, and trusted the time things took to unfold.
I began to understand that even the frustration, doubt and impatience I had been trying to overcome were important teachers. I didn't need to get past these feelings to move forward. I needed to turn towards them, too, and listen to what they held.
This is what I am inviting you into:
A process of learning to connect with your longing, not as something to fix or fulfill as quickly as possible, but as a messenger for a life that feels more fully your own.
I don't know what your path looks like. But I can support you in tuning in, listening to what is already stirring within you, and staying with the questions that matter for as long as necessary, rather than rushing towards easy answers.
As a psychologist (MSc) and trained systemic practitioner, with over ten years of experience supporting people through periods of change, I bring a deep understanding not only of the path of longing, but of the inner dynamics that can make change difficult, as well as practical ways of meeting and working with them.
You don’t have to do this alone.
BE_LONGING is a four-month guided space for turning towards your longing, understanding what it is asking of you, and beginning to take steps in its direction.
This is not a quick fix.
It's an invitation to develop a different relationship with yourself and all that is alive within you — and to allow that relationship shape how you move through your life, beyond these four months.
We will be working with the following themes in the course of four months:
-
You turn towards the unique longing that lives within you as it reveals itself through dreams, visions, symbols, felt senses, and your relationship with the more-than-human world.
You begin to recognize the thread of longing that has been quietly guiding your life all along. -
You hold onto the thread of longing and allow it to unravel—revealing the beautiful vision it carries for your life.
-
We explore the inner dynamics and voices that stand between you and your vision and find ways of working with, rather than against them, creating more trust, space and movement.
-
You begin to move towards our beautiful vision and take a concrete step in its direction. You embrace a new way of relating to yourself and to life.
How we will work
You will be guided through a range of practices that support you in connecting with your inner world and the wisdom it holds, including:
reflective journaling and guided self-inquiry
meditation and practices of deep listening

ritual as a way of marking inner shifts and transitions
sharing spaces for being witnessed and witnessing others
psychological and systemic approaches to understand and work with inner voices and dynamics

what others say
On my medicine walk with Jesslyn, I met a part of me that I had completely forgotten about.
I am looking forward to including the Dancer in my daily life again. Thank you, Jesslyn, for this special experience. I am very grateful I came into contact with your deep and yet simple work.
— Jannika
I attended Jesslyn’s workshop at the Dance of Life Festival. Jesslyn has a unique ability to tickle your senses and invite you into the greater mystery of the natural world.
I was able to bring more clarity to a challenge that has been with me for a long time through my solo walk, and the way she supported me to integrate my experience.
I fully recommend Jesslyn’s work and want new approaches to solving your problems.
— Kat
What I appreciate most about Jesslyn, is that she holds space for my own solutions to emerge, rather than giving advice. I leave every session with Jesslyn feeling more connected to what my life is really about.
I recommend working with Jesslyn if you want to find your own path in life.
